The most common question new PTI members ask is also the most reasonable one: how much can I actually earn? The mistake in answering is giving a number so vague it is useless ("up to hundreds a month!") or so optimistic it sets people up for disappointment.

This post gives grounded scenarios — broken down by follower tier, engagement rate, platform, and how often you run campaigns. These are illustrative ranges from typical campaign structures in PTI's active markets (Birmingham, Atlanta, Houston, Memphis, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Detroit). Your results will vary.

The short version: many active members who run about two campaigns per month land in roughly $45–$220/month in rent-related rewards, depending on audience size and engagement. Against a $1,200 rent example, that is often about 4–18% — a real offset, not a full rent payment, that can compound with PTI Points, optional rent reporting, and Stay Grade when your landlord is linked.

Before we get into the numbers PTI campaign earnings are rent-related rewards applied through your tenancy workflow when your landlord participates and your program supports it — not cash deposits, gift cards, or bank transfers. PTI is not emergency cash and does not replace rental assistance. Many full features require your landlord to join via your invite link.

Earning tiers by follower count

PTI brand campaigns are priced based on audience reach and engagement quality. The tiers below reflect typical structures where campaigns run in your market:

Nano tier

Under 500 followers

Per campaign: $15–$28

$30–$56

at 2 campaigns/month

2–5% of $1,200 rent

Micro tier

500–2,000 followers

Per campaign: $25–$55

$50–$110

at 2 campaigns/month

4–9% of $1,200 rent

Small tier

2,000–7,500 followers

Per campaign: $50–$95

$100–$190

at 2 campaigns/month

8–16% of $1,200 rent

Mid tier

7,500–20,000 followers

Per campaign: $85–$160

$170–$320

at 2 campaigns/month

14–27% of $1,200 rent

Top tier

20,000+ followers

Per campaign: $140–$280+

$280–$560+

at 2 campaigns/month

23–47% of $1,200 rent

Why nano and micro tiers still matter Most members start small — and that is fine. Earning $60–$90/month at the micro tier can cover a meaningful slice of rent while you build campaign history. The tier you start at is not the tier you stay at when you participate consistently.

Real earning scenarios: four PTI members

These profiles represent typical members across active markets — realistic mid-ranges, not cherry-picked highs or worst-case lows.

$42–$55

Personal care, food

Maya posts about nursing life in Atlanta — meals, workwear, self-care. Strong engagement pushes her above the micro floor. Two campaigns/month → roughly $85–$105 in rewards. Where rent reporting is enabled for her lease, she has also seen positive payment-history trends over several months — timelines vary by bureau and program.

DeShawn — Warehouse logistics, Birmingham

Local restaurants, delivery

DeShawn's local Birmingham audience is valuable for hyperlocal briefs. About $50–$65/month — roughly 5% of rent. After seven months, his match rate improved as campaign history grew. See Birmingham tenant resources for assistance programs running in parallel.

Jasmine — Cosmetology student, Houston

$85–$105

Brands

Hair care, beauty

Beauty content commands premium rates on PTI. Three campaigns/month → about $255–$315 — roughly 22% of Houston rent in this example. She grows her following deliberately, which can raise tier rates over time.

Marcus — Rideshare driver, Memphis

Facebook · 440 followers · ~3% engagement

Marcus is the honest lower end — modest rewards, but real. About $35–$42/month. For him, optional rent reporting and Stay Grade matter as much as campaigns: building a stronger rental and credit profile over time, not a quick windfall.

Home goods & living Average Steady volume; real-apartment content is the format brands want. Instagram, TikTok

How to maximize your PTI earnings over time

The highest earners are not always those who started with the biggest following — they participate consistently and improve match quality over time.

Complete your profile

Interests, city, demographics, and connected platforms improve campaign matching.

Often +20–40% more matches

Focus on one niche

Beauty, food, parenting, or fitness beats general lifestyle at the same follower count.

Often +15–30% per campaign

Build engagement, not just followers

1,000 followers at 8% engagement can beat 3,000 at 2% on many briefs.

Up to ~2× per-campaign rate

Participate consistently

Completion history unlocks higher-rate campaigns faster over ~90 days.

+10–25% match quality

Connect all platforms

Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook together expand the campaign pool you see.

More monthly opportunities

Apply early

Popular briefs fill quickly — first 24 hours often wins acceptance.

The full PTI earning picture — beyond brand campaigns

Brand campaigns are the most visible stream — but not the only one when your landlord is linked and features are enabled:

Property health check-in rewards

Optional rent reporting

Stay Grade (portable rental reputation)

Builds over time

The honest bottom line Many active members land around $50–$180/month in campaign rewards — not full rent, but $600–$2,160/year toward housing costs while building credit tools and Stay Grade where enabled. That is the case for PTI earnings: a consistent partial offset that can grow more valuable the longer you use the platform — not a rent replacement or emergency fund.
